Reality is inside the skull.

George Orwell
About This Quote

There are many things that we know to be true, but that we cannot prove. Much of what we believe is based on our experiences, and since we can’t see or touch an experience, we have no way of knowing if it actually happened. Some believe that the universe exists outside of us, but this idea too is an experience, so it will never be able to be proven. Others believe that the universe was created by a higher power, but this too is a belief based on an experience. In each case, there is a sense in which what we believe is true because what we experience has been verified by our senses, but none of us has ever physically experienced the universe or a creator.
